Trapped
a mouse in a wall
a woman in a box
a child in a dream
trapped
a rat in a vapor
a feeling in a heart
a pain in a mind
trapped

You know that feeling
when you try to fight back the
tears you know want to come?
that tightness in your throat
the feeling that your eyes will burst out of your head
if you don't allow
the saline out?
the strange pressure in your nose which dribbles down to your
throat
if you can force it hard enough

and then you swallow.

and it can all be remedied

but where does that thought go?
that feeling dwell?

trapped...

I can hardly breath.
